Terms of Use

Last Modified: January 2026

1. Acceptance of the Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute an agreement between you and Express Apostille Global, LLC (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). They govern your access to and use of our website, notarization services, apostille facilitation, document processing services, and any related content or functionality we provide.

Please read these Terms carefully before submitting any documents or placing an order.

By accepting these Terms or submitting any document to us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy, available at:

https://expressapostilleglobal.com/privacy-policy/

Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms or our Privacy Policy, you must not submit documents or engage our services.

We reserve the right to revise or update these Terms at our discretion. Changes become effective when published on our website. Your continued use of our website or services after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes. You are responsible for reviewing this page periodically.

2. The Services We Offer

Express Apostille Global provides notarization, apostille facilitation, and document processing services. Our services are limited to the following activities:

  • Receiving documents uploaded or otherwise provided by you.
  • Creating or attaching a custodial or copy certification stating that the copy we process is an exact copy of the document received by us.
  • Notarizing the custodial or copy certification where applicable.
  • Submitting documents to the appropriate government authority, such as a Secretary of State, for apostille issuance.
  • Returning documents to you by mail or courier, domestically or internationally.

The services provided depend on the document, applicable requirements, and the service requested.

3. What We Do Not Do

Express Apostille Global does not:

  • Verify the authenticity, validity, legality, accuracy, truthfulness, or completeness of documents submitted to us.
  • Determine whether a document is genuine, fraudulent, forged, counterfeit, or legally enforceable.
  • Investigate the source, origin, or previous use of any document.
  • Provide legal advice, immigration advice, academic credential evaluations, or government certification.
  • Issue apostilles ourselves. We facilitate the submission of documents and the required custodial certification to the appropriate government authority for apostille issuance.
  • Guarantee that an apostilled document will be accepted by any domestic or foreign authority.
  • Determine whether a document may lawfully be used for a particular purpose.

An apostille authenticates the relevant government official’s signature or seal under the applicable procedure. It does not authenticate, validate, approve, or endorse the underlying document or its contents.

4. Information and Documents Provided by You

All information, documents, and materials you submit through our website, email, or any other communication method, including personal information, document copies, and supporting materials (collectively, “Materials”), are submitted at your own risk.

You represent and warrant that, to the best of your knowledge, all Materials you provide are true, accurate, complete, and not misleading.

You acknowledge that we rely on the Materials you provide to perform our services and do not independently verify their authenticity, accuracy, or legality. We are not responsible for errors, omissions, or consequences arising from incorrect or incomplete information you submit.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its officers, employees, agents, and notaries against claims, losses, damages, or liabilities, including attorneys’ fees and costs, arising from or relating to the Materials, including their use by third parties or government authorities, to the extent provided under these Terms and applicable law.

5. Customer Representations and Responsibilities

You may use our website and services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

By submitting documents or using our services, you represent and agree that:

  • You have the legal right, authority, and permission to submit the documents and are doing so in good faith.
  • The documents you provide are true copies and have not been unlawfully altered, modified, or counterfeited.
  • You will not submit documents for any illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purpose.
  • You will not use our services to facilitate fraud, misrepresentation, identity theft, immigration fraud, academic fraud, or any other unlawful activity.
  • You accept responsibility for the use, misuse, and consequences of the documents you submit.

6. No Guarantee of Acceptance

We facilitate the submission of documents to the appropriate government authorities for apostille issuance. However, we cannot guarantee that any government authority, whether domestic or foreign, will accept, approve, or recognize the final document.

Acceptance of apostilled documents is determined solely by the receiving authority. We have no control over that decision.

Our services are limited to submitting documents for processing and returning the documents received from the relevant government authorities.

Any rejection, delay, or refusal by a receiving authority is outside our control and is not our responsibility under these Terms. You assume the risks associated with the acceptance or non-acceptance of apostilled documents, including potential consequences relating to employment, immigration, education, or other legal or administrative matters, subject to applicable law.

7. Fees and Refunds

If an issue arises with your order, we will make reasonable efforts to resolve it and achieve a satisfactory outcome.

If a resolution cannot be reached, we will refund our service fees, although certain transaction fees may apply.

If an order has already been fulfilled, a portion of our service fees and/or shipping fees may be refunded if you are dissatisfied with the service.

To request a refund, contact us at:

Please note that we are not responsible for documents that are lost, destroyed, or damaged during transit through USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, or any other courier or shipping provider. Refund requests based on documents being lost, destroyed, or damaged during courier transit will not be accepted.

8. Shipping and Risk of Loss

All documents, whether originals or copies, submitted to us or returned by us are shipped at your risk.

Once documents are transferred to a courier, postal service, or other shipping provider, including for international shipments, we are not liable for loss, theft, damage, misdelivery, or delay during transit, subject to applicable law.

You are responsible for considering appropriate insurance, tracking, and packaging for your documents. A tracking number will be provided once your documents have been shipped.

Claims for loss or damage during transit must be directed to the carrier or shipping provider used.

Our responsibility is limited to handling, submitting, and returning documents in accordance with the services provided. The risk of loss during transportation rests with you, subject to any non-waivable rights or obligations under applicable law.

9. Disclosure and Cooperation

We reserve the right to disclose documents, files, information, or other data you submit if we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable laws or regulations, subpoenas, court orders, or requests from government authorities.

We may also disclose information when necessary to protect our legal rights, prevent fraud, detect unauthorized use of our services, or investigate suspected unlawful or fraudulent activity.

We will cooperate with law enforcement agencies, regulatory authorities, and other legal entities as required by applicable law.

Such disclosures or cooperation do not constitute a waiver of our rights or obligations under these Terms. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for consequences arising from such disclosures, including actions taken by third parties, government authorities, or other recipients of the disclosed information.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE COMPANY’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, NEGLIGENCE, OR OTHERWISE, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL FEES YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC SERVICE THAT IS THE SUBJECT OF THE CLAIM.

You acknowledge that this limitation of liability reflects the allocation of risk between you and the Company and forms an essential basis of the agreement between the parties.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

All matters relating to our website and these Terms, including any dispute or claim arising from or relating to them, whether contractual or non-contractual, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the internal laws of the State of Illinois, United States of America, without giving effect to any choice-of-law or conflict-of-law provision or rule.

13. Arbitration

At the Company’s sole discretion, we may require disputes arising from our services, these Terms, or use of our website to be submitted to final and binding arbitration under the Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association, applying Illinois law.
